About PhDnet

PhDnet is a network for PhD students and Teaching Assistants from the Faculty of HEC at the University of Lausanne.

Created in 2005, the purpose of our association is to:

  • Facilitates the exchange of ideas and knowledge among PhD students in order to improve the quality of research. We want to give an overview of the work and research interests of all PhD students and we aim to enhance the collaboration across departments and to facilitate contacts with external partners.

  • Build a professional and social network among PhD students.

  • Officially represent the interests of the PhD students from HEC within the faculty of HEC and the University of Lausanne.

PhDnet serves doctoral students' interests in the following four domains:

Integration of new doctoral students, helping them discover Lausanne and their life as a doctoral student at HEC Lausanne.

Promotion of doctoral students’ research, enhancing relationships between doctoral students and faculty members and facilitating knowledge sharing.

Organization of inter-departmental events for doctoral students.

Expanding knowledge and networks of doctoral students in order to prepare them for their future career opportunities.

The PhDnet Committee is responsible for organising different activities in each section in addition to running the website. For details about these events, please look at the News section of our website.

If you are interested in joining the PhDnet committee or if you have an idea for an activity that you would like to organize, please write an email to: phdnet@unil.ch or speak to one of the Committee members.
