Steve Binggeli, a PhD student in the OB department, obtained a one year scholarship for young researchers from the SNSF. Next spring, he will join Professor Mikki Hebl’s team in the prestigious Rice University of Houston. During his scholarship, Steve will pursue his research on employment discrimination against immigrants. In particular, he will address recruiters’ beliefs about applicants’ behavior in the interview, the black-sheep effect, and how social norms might be used to reduce employment discrimination.
