New appointment at HEC Lausanne: Spring semester 2016
The Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne (HEC Lausanne) welcomes and congratulates its recently appointed professor Mauro Cherubini. He joined the Department of Information Systems (ISI) at the Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC Lausanne) on May 1st, 2016, as Full Professor.
A research project of Prof. Juergen Maurer on chronic illness and poverty has received a grant of more than 2.6 million Swiss francs
As part of the Swiss Programme for Research on Global Issues for Development (r4d) and thanks to finance from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) to the tune of 2,626,729.00 Swiss francs, health economist Professor Juergen Maurer and his teams this year began a research project designed to measure the impact of chronic illness on economic conditions and poverty in emerging and developing countries.
Professor Enkelejd Hashorva becomes a member of the editorial board of the scientific reviews "Journal of Applied Probability" and "Advances in Applied Probability".
A professor in the Department of Actuarial Sciences at HEC Lausanne, Enkelejd Hashorva was appointed in April as a member of the editorial board of two of the most prestigious scientific publications in the field of applied probability: "Journal of Applied Probability" and "Advances in Applied Probability". These two journals, which function as a single publication, have existed for nearly 50 years and have a worldwide reputation. They examine the application of probability theory to physical, biological, medical, social and technological problems.
Chaplin's World under the magnifying glass of two researchers at HEC Lausanne
Anette Mikes and Felicitas Morhart, both professors in the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne, have just published a scientific study of the development of Chaplin's World. Their research focuses on the role of management practices that have fashioned this multipartite cultural project since 2004. It coincides with the opening of the Museum last weekend, illustrating the close links that exist between the academic world and society.

Charisma, leadership, political elections: the videos tackle key themes within the fields of expertise of Prof. Antonakis and are often linked to topical subjects. A well-deserved success and one which highlights the impact and influence on society of researchers at HEC Lausanne.
Successful 2nd edition of the HEC Entrepreneurship Week (SDE)
The 2nd edition of the HEC Entrepreneurship Week (SDE) took place from 29 February to 4 March this year. This event, initiated in 2015 by student associations at HEC Lausanne, has proved highly successful on campus.
