 Virtual reality: a new tool in continuing education

The Faculty of Business and Economics at UNIL has achieved a first by launching a continuing education course (in French) that uses virtual reality.  Two new projects to discover at the UNIL-HEC Accelerator for the autumn 2016 session

Following a first session that concluded successfully in late June, the accelerator of entrepreneurial projects "UNIL-HEC Accelerator" continues with two equally fascinating and promising projects. On the agenda for the second session, which began in August and will conclude at the end of December 2016: the world of travel with the mobile app I Trip U Trip, and nutrition combined with genetics, or nutrigenomics, with Promantis labs. The first project team is represented by students and graduates from the Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC) and the second by a post-doctoral student from the Faculty of Biology and Medicine (FBM).  Vulnerability of European banks: research by Diane Pierret on the results of the stress test

On Friday 29 July, the European Banking Authority published the results of its stress test, which measures the level of resistance of eurozone banks to a potential shock. The results of comparative research conducted by Diane Pierret, professor of finance at HEC Lausanne (UNIL), in collaboration with professors Viral V. Acharya of the University of New York and Sascha Steffen of the University of Mannheim, give more cause for concern than those highlighted by the EBA.
