Welcome
Located at the heart of Europe, on the shore of Lake Geneva, "The Academy", the forerunner of the University of Lausanne, was founded in 1537. In 1890, The Academy received the name and status of a UNIVERSITY and in 1979, the Business School of the University - known as HEC Lausanne - delivered its first MBA.
Based on 30 years of full-time MBA teaching experience, HEC Lausanne launched in 2006 a part-time Executive MBA programme, offering specific specialisations, delivered by partner institutions, experts in their fields:
Our Executive MBA aims to:
Deliver a deep understanding of business
Central to our success is a remarkable world class faculty that creates a deep understanding of business through evidence based teachings. Our professors make the Executive MBA classroom a special place where learning is an intense and interactive engagement.
Create a class entity
We strive to create a real class entity and a real strong community that guarantees long-lasting ties among participants. Indeed all participants of a year's class start the same day and end the same day undergoing this intense 15 month experience together, thus building friendships that will last throughout their whole career.
Guarantee the quality & diversity of participants
HEC Lausanne is known for its very strict admissions requirements. All participants, without exception, have to be holder of a recognised university degree, regardless of the field of studies, and have at least 5-7 years professional experience. All candidates have to undergo a formal interview with the admission's committee prior to being accepted. This strict admission's process limits the class size and guarantees the quality of the programme's participants as well as the quality of their future network.
Offer a unique experience
The Executive MBA of HEC Lausanne is more than just an academic programme, it is a unique experience. Besides classes taught by world class professors we offer a professional, friendly and personalised service.
