Egon Zehnder International

Participants of the Executive MBA HEC Lausanne | UNIL should not only become excellent and ethical managers, but they should go from being Managers to becoming visionary Leaders. Whereas Managers use reason, logic and other rational techniques, Leaders inspire and motivate people to achieve results using values and vision. To emphasise the importance of Leadership skills, the programme has decided to collaborate with a renowned and successful global consulting firm that shares the same understanding of the importance of Leadership. The decision to partner with Egon Zehnder International (EZI) was natural.

The objective of the collaboration between the Executive MBA HEC Lausanne | UNIL and EZI is the sharing of knowledge, as well as the promotion of the people aspect in Management. EZI will share their knowledge of the importance of Leadership and People Decisions via various Executive MBA teachings and events.

Mr. Thomas Allgäuer, Managing Director of Egon Zehnder International SA in Geneva teaches in our programme.

A special “Egon Zehnder International Leadership Award” is awarded within the framework of the "Individual Strategy Projects" (ISP) module.

Nescafé

Participants of the Executive MBA HEC Lausanne | UNIL should not only become excellent managers who increase the benefit and performance of their company, but managers who, in doing so, develop the business in a sustainable and ethical manner.  To show the students the reality of the need to move toward Sustainability, the programme wants to collaborate with a renowned and successful company that lives and fosters these values.

Both Nescafé and the Executive MBA HEC Lausanne | UNIL are committed to increase the awareness of sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

HEC Lausanne is committed to integrate sustainability in the design of its programmes. A module has specifically been designed to study such a topic and will take place during the introductory week of the programme.

The aim is to show students that business leaders must become involved in the socio-political debate not only because of the current trend, but also because they have a strategic and vested interest and a real responsibility as active players in the economic arena.

The Introductory Programme of the Executive MBA (a 3-day intense programme) is organised jointly with Nescafé and focuses on "Creating Shared Value", a major value to Nescafé and Nestlé Global, which we share. Excutives from Nescafé - among others - lecture and moderate this special introductory programme.

Nescafé offers the "Nescafé -Creating Shared Value - Award" to the student who will best identify and exploit CVS opportunities in his/her Individual Strategy Project.

NB. This module is specific to the Management & corporate Finance specialisation.

Nespresso

The Nespresso Strategy & Sustainability Award will be awarded within the framework of the "Individual Strategy Project" (ISP) module. Although economical aspects of the ISP, such as financial, sales or production performance are usually the main objectives of the projects, the Executive MBA HEC Lausanne | UNIL, together with Nestlé Nespresso SA, would like to encourage sustainable decision making at management level, and have therefore created the " Nespresso Strategy & Sustainability Award ". This award should exhort participants to develop new ways of apprehending strategic issues, by systematically including sustainability aspects in their decision making process.

Nespresso has been a partner since many years as it was the company involved in the introductory programme of the Executive MBA in Management & corporate Finance during the last 3 years.

Nespresso has awarded the "Nespresso Sustainability and Strategy Award", to the student who best identifies and exploits sustainability opportunities in his/her Individual Strategy Project.

Switcher

Influenced by the deliberations of the Rio environmental summit in 1992, Switcher set itself to convert the congress' global vision into a local initiative by adopting the well-known principle of sustainable development. It is clear that a company's long-term survival is ultimately in doubt if it cannot safeguard its continuity through respect for the environment and the community it operates in.

Switcher believes that its societal and environmental obligations encompass work and environmental conditions in the plants of its suppliers and partners at large, wherever they are located.

"To become the first Swiss textile group, withes strong performance and profitability, to adopt the principle of sustainable development on a worldwide basis." is clearly indicating the vision of the company.

The Executive MBA HEC Lausanne | UNIL wishes to emphasize the ethical and sustainable aspect in our teaching and are looking for partners sharing the same values, as Switcher is one of the best examples in our country over the last decades.

Switcher collaborates with our programmes by providing for free or at a discount price polos and other clothing for the students and the Executive MBA staff.

Lift works to identify and anticipate current and emerging usages of digital technologies through research, events, publications and services.

Lift organizes conferences built around a community of pioneers who get together in Europe and Asia to explore the social implications of new technologies. Each event is a chance to turn innovation into opportunities by anticipating the major shifts ahead, and meet the people who drive them.

Since the Executive MBA HEC Lausanne | UNIL wishes to make the students aware of the importance of new technologies and how to benefit from them, the collaboration with Lift allows access to great knowledge. Indeed, Lift offers a unique opportunity to connect with the world's brightest minds, and see tomorrow's ideas ahead of everybody else.

Mr. Laurent Haug, founder of LIFT conferences is a lecturer of our programme.
